Culina is a woman-owned, dairy-free yogurt brand headquartered in Austin, Texas. Their ancient culturing techniques and uncompromising commitment to using the highest-quality ingredients have earned their ridiculously thick and delicious yogurt a veritable cult(ure) following. Having first packaged their yogurt in traditional ceramic pots, we retained some of the brand’s terracotta roots while updating the branded packaging through several evolutions and product line expansions.
The Culina Brand
The Culina personality is playful, feminine, warm, and friendly, reflecting a company that does not compromise on quality. And the yogurt itself? It’s in a league of its own. Culina needed a brand identity, packaging, and messaging that reflected their high standards while generating buzz, which had long been tethered to the terracotta clay pots that their products were first packaged in. We were able to update the brand and keep the terracotta alive.
The Art of Crafting Ridiculously Thick Yogurt
Culina’s effervescent, flora-emblazoned packaging is befitting a yogurt that’s artistically fermented, and delightfully flavored. Each flavor features tasty illustrations to help consumers feel an overall vibe that is berry cool and flirtatious.
Thinking Outside the Jar
When Culina’s line of Drinkable Kefirs launched with three delectable flavors, Drawn designed the new products and built some fresh brand collateral and swag. We also helped Culina mark the occasion with a gift box.
